These are a selection of my favourite videos. Some are talks that I have given, some interviews I have given, and some interviews and conversations I have conducted. These give you a flavour of what I most care about.
Rachel Elnaugh’s Community
This is a short section of a talk, called Inspiring people to new possibilities, that
I gave to Rachel Elnaugh’s community at the British Library in 2011.
The Brahma Kumaris World Spiritual University invited me to give a keynote talk at their national conference on Spirituality and Men in June 2013 in London
In January 2011, I was invited to give a keynote talk to the Investment Mastery programme in London – not a group I would naturally be part of, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time with them and it was well received.
I often say that the three things that have most caused me to refine my thinking and my messages are writing, speaking and being interviewed. These are three of the favourite conversations I have had in the last few years.
Jo is a successful young entrepreneur and runs MyStudentStyle, helping young people give advice, support and mentoring to create work and businesses they love. She interviewed me on a trip to Manchester in December 2013.
I describe Kate as my soul sister and when I bought a Flip Video camera in 2009, I took it to my next trip to South Africa, soon after. I stayed with her at her home in Melville in Johannesburg and we recorded a series of conversations. I particularly enjoyed this one on what my thinking on leadership is.
Conversations with people who inspire me
I love having great conversation. I am a great believer that we and the world evolve one conversation at a time. Here are a few of my favourite conversations with people I find inspiring.
As a read the first few pages of Steven Pressfield’s book The War of Art in 2004, I knew it was going to a book that changed my life, and it did. A year later I was blessed to have an opportunity to meet and interview him about his book at his home above Malibu beach in California. I was so excited that it wasn’t until we were approaching the gates of his home that I suddenly realised, “I have never done this before!” It was my first proper interview, which I loved, and I was both very nervous and a little star struck.
The Artists Way is a book that changed my life but Julia has also written over thirty additional books, screenplays, and musicals. She is both incredibly creative and a teacher of creativity. I was blessed to be able to have a conversation at an Alternatives event in February 2011 and talk to her about creativity, but also resistance and how she overcomes it.
Jerry Jampolsky And Diane Cirincionce
Jerry’s book Love is Letting Go of Fear has been a best seller, an inspiration to millions and an introduction to the teachings of A Course in Miracles. He and his wife were in London in 2011 for an event to celebrate The Miracle Network in the UK and I was blessed to have a conversation with them at the end of a one-day workshop they ran.
I met Mike many years ago through Alternatives and we often meet when he visits London from his home in Florida. His Notes From The Universe are received by over 500,000 across the planet each day. This is one of a series of conversations I had with him in London in May 2010
I have known Richard for over twenty years. One of the sons of Sir Laurence Olivier, he has also had a career in theatre and founded and runs OlivierMythodrama which uses Shakespeare’s plays to help develop world class leaders. This is a conversation we had in 2010 in London about his own personal passion.
Richard Barrett is an author, speaker and internationally recognised thought leader on the evolution of human values in business, leadership and society and the founder and chairman of the Barrett Values Centre. This is a conversation we had at his home in Bath in 2011 about the ideas in his book The New Leadership Paradigm.
Julie has become a friend through Psychology of Vision as she is a master trainer. Here we have a conversation about a more feminine approach to leadership at her home in Wiltshire.
Jeff has also become a friend through Psychology of Vision as he also is a master trainer. Here we have a conversation about his take on what leadership is, at his home in Wiltshire.
