Top leaders hire me when they have reached some kind of plateau, are a little disengaged and lost some of their mojo. I support them to unwrap the chapter of their growth and calling, blossom into expressing of their unique gifts and brilliance and be as effective as they can. They get their mojo back, so they become re-engaged, happy and inspired about themselves and their leadership, as well as showing up a source of inspiration to others. They make the most of loving being at their best.
What leaders say
Here are some examples of the dozens of leaders I have supported.
“You are a superstar. I am so incredibly touched by the amount of work and thought you put into the Leadership Synopsis…I felt humbled reading it and was also tingling all over. You have captured the essence of what I believe, and you have done so beautifully. I am so grateful to you for enabling me to articulate what it is I’m about and what I strive to be in the workplace and in life in general. You’ve shone a light on my modus-operandi and it will serve as a reminder of how I want to show up in the world when it’s all too easy to forget.“
Liz Trubridge, BAFTA and Golden Globe Winning Executive Producer of all six-series of Downton Abbey and the 2019 film
“You helped me see where my own leadership had become sidetracked by my own fears and doubts. I have a huge respect for you. You’ve helped me create a fantastic company, and keep a level head while we’ve been growing so fast!“
Rune Sovndahl, co-founder and CEO of Fantastic Services, with a £28m turnover in 2018, one of the largest home services provider in London.
A Hotel of His Own
Kurt Bredenbeck is one of Europe’s leading hotel entrepreneurs. He has been instrumental in bringing hotel projects to life, including being involved in the founding and development of 1 Aldwych in London.
But he wanted to conceive his own hotel and bring it to life in London. I coached him and he subsequently conceived and created the Hoxton hotel in Shoreditch. The hotel pioneered the luxury budget concept and has become a landmark London hotel and was part of the regeneration of the whole Shoreditch area. He sold the Hoxton in 2012. Kurt’s concept was so sound that under the new owners, The Hoxton hotel has becoming a global brand. https://thehoxton.com/
He is also Chairman of Green Rooms, the UK’s first Social Enterprise Arts Hotel.
I have supported him to find the property for his next London Landmark hotel and bring it into existence. My 16th book, Be Inspired. Be Inspiring. Be Yourself – Your Power to Draw the Best Out of Yourself and Others, opens with Kurt’s inspiring story.
Working on your business and leadership
The MD/COO of a £12 million digital media company sought my support during a period of rapid growth and preparing the company for a sale. This is how he described his experience?
1. How would you describe the challenge you had that you sought my help with?
My principle challenge was in gaining clarity on the issues that really mattered for the growth of our company. The daily background noise of a fast-growing business makes that particularly difficult to achieve.
2. How would you describe where you have got to?
Focussed on spending time away from the fray to think and plan, which means I’m spending time considering the next 18 months rather than just the next 6.
3. What aspects of the coaching process have been most helpful and useful to you and your growth?
The mantra: ‘spend more time on your business than in your business’, was incredibly useful as a soundbite reminder of what we were focussing on.
4. Why did you choose me specifically?
I had a recommendation from someone I really respect and who’d already benefitted from your help.
Each coaching programme is unique and tailored to you after an initial conversation. If you’d like to have an exploratory conversation about you and the next chapter of your leadership then drop me a line at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll arrange to speak
In the conversation we will explore:
